Kinda like Christmas morning

That's what Hannah and Emily's first day of school was like today...kinda like Christmas morning. They were both so excited about going back to school that they had trouble sleeping last night. They had to sleep in Hannah's bed, giggling and chatting for at least an hour, and they were running up and down the hall in the middle of the night. We didn't even have to wake them up at 6:30 this morning because they were already waiting for us.

Last night I took Hannah to Target to buy her some shoes and a bag (I completely forgot I hadn't done that for her yet), and after buying a messenger-style bag and some ugly black shoes (which she thought were "fabulous"), she said in the car, "This is the best day ever! I can't stop smiling! I'm so awesome!"

I decided that since the girls aren't exactly new to school, I would just go on in to work. It was scary to trust Ray with the pictures. They were okay. This first one would have been super cute(after I cropped it and enlarged it), but it turned out blurry.

And this one's not so bad (again, after cropping and enlarging it), but you can't see their shoes.

Oh well, the important thing is that both Hannah and Emily had a great first day for the new school year. Hope it continues for us all! ;-)
