I especially like taking pictures of flowers and stuff (if you haven't noticed by now). The flowers are great because they don't move when I'm trying to take their picture so I can take my time and experiment. I took these pictures on our trek through the Nature Center a couple of weeks ago (I'm only going to show you some of them--I have others)
Of course, the first 2 are edited. I played around with their color to try to make the flowers stand out. They were fairly lack-luster when I uploaded them. Like this picture above. I really wanted the yellow to stand out a bit more. I like how "soft" the picture is, but the flower just doesn't capture your attention. So, I tried this:
Not sure I'm totally in love with the outcome, but I kinda like it, and am thinking of using a combination of these yellow-flower pictures in our basement.
I don't think there is anything "spectacular" about the next set of pictures, but every time I look at them, I remember how they smelled. They were awesome. It was like they were giving me a gift just for walking by (I know, cheesy, but that's how I see it).
I also like "white space" in my picture--the part of the picture that doesn't seem to have "anything" in it, like having the picture off-center. I see those spots as journaling places when I scrapbook.
If you click on this next picture, you will see that the flower kinda sparkles.
And that's all my flower pictures for now (glad it's over?? ;-)) Tomorrow, I have paths to share! (Try to contain your excitement!)
