Their first playdates

I know this makes me a bad mom, but this is the first time the girls have had friends from school over. The neighborhood kids come over all the time, but I finally let them bring some friends home from school (actually, I had to go pick them all up from school). I figured since I'm on spring break, now would be a good time. I'm not so rushed and stressed out.


Hannah brought Allyn, a girl she has been friends with since kindergarten...

And Emily brought Avery.

It's funny but Avery and Emily told me that there was drama at school with Rachel. Rachel has been asking to play with Emily for a while. But, Avery just called last week. It just so happened that Avery put her mom on the phone and Emily put me on the phone and we arranged a date. Now Rachel is mad that she hasn't been able to come over. I did invite Rachel to come next week, but apparently she is busy. I do feel bad, but what's a girl to do?

The girls did have fun running all over the house playing various games. It would have been nice had it not been 37 degrees and raining. They could have played in the treehouse or used their in-line skates. Oh well, maybe next time!
