Yesterday, Grandma Heckle and I went downtown with Hannah to view her artwork on display. In the beginning of the year, Hannah came home with a permission slip from her art teacher asking if it would be okay if one of Hannah's art pieces could be entered into an art contest sponsored by CET. I said, "Sure, why not." So, while Ray took Emily to her playoff game (which she lost---and she cried), Mom, Hannah, and I spent the afternoon across the street from Music Hall.
Hannah with her art...It was a lesson in foreground, middle ground, and background...I think...
Up close...
Hannah really liked that her tag said, "Artist". In the car I even heard her mutter to herself, "I'm an artist."
Hannah didn't win a prize for her art, but she did win a door prize--an art easel. She was so excited to get it and she can't wait for me to set it up.
It was a nice, enjoyable afternoon hanging out with my daughter and my mom.

Very Cool! So sweet that she said "I'm and artist". Even Pat thought it was cool that his tag said "artist" when he had his sculpture thing.
