This first one was to find the "sweet spot" (so they call it) for skin tone. I used Emily here who was laying on the window seat. I don't like the shadow on the side of her face, but I didn't have much light to work with (the pictures were due today and it wasn't very sunny)
Then we had to work on focusing. There is this button on the back of the camera used for BBF (back button focusing), but I haven't quite figured it out. So, I used the focus and recompose method we learned this week (as well as a custom white balance) and came up with this:
And finally, we had to take a picture with some movement in it. We decorated our tree tonight (more pictures to come later), so I took one of Hannah (well, actually, I took more than one, but this is the one I used)
At times I am very overwhelmed with the information I am learning, and sometimes, like today, I feel way out of my league. But, again, I can't say it enough: I think it's just freakin' awesome I am taking this photography class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those turned out great. I like how the light was on Hannah and how clear it came out. Can't wait to see Saturday's pictures!!
So cool for you!!
I really liked the pic of Emily- especially with the shadow. The ornament was a wow- I am on the fence about seeing a reflection... Hannah looks like she is somewhere else... so fun to decorate the tree!
