I guess it's in our DNA

Yesterday my family and I visited the Cincinnati Zoo with Jo Ann, Brian, Avery, Grandma Heckle and Ed. It was a great day weather wise too--not hot at all and no humidity. I have decided to spare you the pain and agony of having to see all 400 pictures I took while at the zoo all at once, so I will do various posts using my pictures from the zoo.

Up first, is an obvious reminder of how closely connected we are to the Monkey family.

Here is the Silverback, the ruler of his gang.

He sits quietly, aloof, as if he is pondering some great secret of the universe...

Or maybe wistfully thinking of days gone by...

Or maybe he is just thinking about picking his nose...

And then examining his "find" on the tip of his finger...

Cocking his head to one side as he takes it all in...

Does a tatste test...

more than once...

And then digs it out from under his fingernail...

to have at it with his other hand.

Yes, picking our noses and eating our boogers (as many kids and some adults I know have done) has been in our DNA for a very long time!

OMG - I love how draw it out like that. I was waiting for some comment related to Ray or men in general, but the whole booger thing - LOL.

I make myself laugh every time I reread my own post! He was so funny to watch! And, no doubt I was thinking about Ray and men in general...but, I refrained from the expected!
