While I've been laid up (both body parts seem to stop hurting when I lay down), I've been browsing the internet and found 2 projects that I'm going try my hand at. First are these pom-pom looking flowers.
The first picture I found had them in a vase and they looked soooo cute! I tried to find the original picture but couldn't. I thought these might make for a nice addition to my bedroom.
And, speaking of bedroom, I thought I would share some of my progress. Last week I bought a chair from IKEA along with a hanging paper light (like the one Jo Ann has in her guest bedroom). I love, love, love this chair. I'm currently trying to decide if I am going to buy the white premade slip cover for it or do it myself...

(not the most flattering picture)
(sorry, I didn't feel like making the bed)
I also started working on the bathroom. I painted all the trim and the ceiling for the middle part and then started painting the walls (I still have to take the border down in the shower part of the bathroom and then paint that ceiling--YUCK!)

(It's hard to tell the shade of green because it was dark outside and I didn't have enough light, but it's the green in my comforter. Next time I'll take a picture when it's daylight)

How cute are those things?? And, apparently, they are very inexpensive. To make 3 or 4 of them costs somewhere around $12 (so the blog said). I want some of those for my dining room and depending on how easy they are, maybe for lots of other rooms in my house too!

Last week I decided to blow up one of my photographs. I've been wanting to do it for a long time (blow up my pictures), but just never did. Man, do I love this picture! You'll have to see it close up, but I can't believe how cool it turned out!

I think something is still missing on that wall...originally I was going to put the picture on mat board and let it lean against the wall on a shelf (I even bought the brackets for the shelf), but once it got here, I felt like I didn't like the shelf idea. So, I bought a $12 frame at Wal-Mart and just hung it on the wall.
Maybe I need more pictures or maybe instead of one shelf, two, or maybe I should lower the picture...I don't know. I like it when I look at it in person, but I don't like how sparse it looks in the pictures...
But that's all for today. Hopefully I'll start feelling better soon...still have so many thoughts and ideas swimming around I gotta get them out!

Evrything looks very nice. Now I feel like I shouldn't hang up that cherry picture. I guess I need to look for another picture. Nice job on the updates, and the chair is nice!!
You can still hang up the cherry picture...who is going to know that we both have it hanging up? I would have hung mine up even if you had yours up...
Even when you're sick! The room looks great, and I don't think you should cover it at all. But, I do think you should make the cord of the paper lantern go down the corner and not the flat part of the wall. Pat and I had one in our apartment and that's what we did-you didn't even notice it. The cherry picture looks GREAT! Keep up the photography! I like cactus- and they are low maintenance and live long.
By the way- you might have a kidney or bladder infection- you should call the Dr.-we have to take care of our bodies-they are what let us enjoy this life!
