Just a few of her favorite things...

from her birthday party last weekend, that is!

When Hannah went shopping with Jo Jo on her birthday, she picked out this panda bear. All she talked about for a week was this bear. She couldn't wait to get her hands on it, and it was the first gift she tore into.

Then, along with lots of money (which she is dying to spend), she got this "silky" nightgown from the Tuttles. She just looooooves "silky" pajamas--it's all she will sleep in. So, these two items have certainly become some of her favorite things!

Ray is 38 years and one day old!

That's right; yesterday was Ray's 38th birthday. The girls were already scheduled off of school, so I told Ray that he should take a day off, and I would take the day off, and we could spend his birthday together as a family. Pretty thoughtful of me, huh? Well, the girls were home; I was home; Ray...was at work. He claimed he didn't have enough days to use. So, while he was at work, Hannah and Emily and I ran out to get him a gift and some balloons and a banner. We hung them on the mailbox and around the front porch.

When he got home, the girls showered him with his cards--both store bought and handmade--

and a gift card to Dick's

After that, we headed out to Rincon Mexico for dinner where the girls ate tacos, Ray ate a burrito, and I enjoyed a margarita (with some food, of course!).

And then, before bed, we sang "Happy Birthday" and Ray blew out his candles

Hopefully all his wishes come true!

Child Art

A couple of weeks ago when we had all the power outage from the wind storm, I had the day off, but the girls had to go to school. I walked outside to wait for the bus with them, and found them "drawing" on Daddy's car.

Their little images made me smile long after they rode away on the bus...

I hope all the smiling faces and hearts they drew mean they are happy, contented little girls!

She's 8 today!

I can't believe it, but my sweet, little baby is 8 today! Where did the time go????? She had a great day, though. It started with breakfast with Aunt Jo who took her and Emily (Hannah invited her) to Golden Corral and then on to a trip to Toys R Us to pick out a gift. After that, the Durbin family came over to celebrate.

We ate dinner, sang happy birthday

and opened presents.

I hope she never loses the excitement she had today. I hope she never forgets how wonderful it is to celebrate the day she entered into our lives.

Happy Birthday sweet girl!
